Will- Managing Director
Will comes from a hospitality background with 12 years of experience. Will is the Managing Director of Waters Edge Restaurant Canberra and Waters Edge Restaurant Batemans Bay. Since establishing Waters Edge, Will’s expertise in the Modern Australian food industry is extensive. Will has worked with many reputed establishments as a Restaurateur, such as Eastlake Group Canberra, Temora, Condobolin, Narromine RSL Clubs, Belconnen Soccer Club, and Parkes Leagues Club for several years.
From a very young age, Will was inspired by the idea of being successful in the Hospitality Industry. After careful research, he decided that the best way forward was to get trained in the Hospitality industry in Australia and moved to Australia. According to Will, the secret behind the success in the Food Industry is to understand the expectations and requirements of every client, provide high-standard quality food, convey extraordinary Service all the time, and keep updating yourself with the latest Industry trends.
Will’s expertise in the Restaurant industry has seen Water’s Edge Canberra in the top 10% around the world for years 2020, 2021, 2022, and receive Traveler Choice award and have been awarded with a Chef Hat in 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025.
Executive Chef Avtar Singh (Av)
Avtar (Avi) was born in India and started his career as a chef in Sydney in 2009. After years of travelling around Australia, Avtar decided to settle in Canberra. He is motivated to keep the ideas and creativity in the Menu evolving by regularly communicating with farmers, producers, and artisans about what they have excites them. As Avtar was a farmer in India, that is why he is still passionate about farming and gardening. Avtar uses his organic garnish for many dishes from his garden. He believes in his authentic style, which is a fusion of Indian spices with Australian Produce. Avtar has a dream to open a restaurant where he will only use organic ingredients from his garden.
